Indlela umlobi abika ngayo iqakathekile kakhulu kundatshana. Kulezindlela ezinengi zokubika ezenza indatshana ihlabuse inambithe. Umlobi wezindatshana kumele atshengise ubuciko obuphezulu kundlela ezokubika ngoba engelaso isikhathi sokulandisa phose zonke izehlakalo, njalo lendawo yokulandisa ingekho ngoba indatshana ilamakhasi amalutshwana. Lezi ngezinye zezindlela ezingasetshenziswa ukubika kanye lobuhle bazo.

  1. Ukubika ngelihlo lomlingiswa – lapha umlingiswa nguye ongabika izehlakalo ezenzeka empilweni yakhe. Kulindlela obalayo ubona zonke izinto ngelihlo lomlingiswa lowo. Ukubika okunje kusipha imizwa yomlingiswa kanye lemibono yakhe. Umlobi ucatsha ngemva komlingiswa.   2. Indlela yokubika – lapha umlobi angasilandisela udaba yena ngokwakhe esebenzisa indlela yokubika. Lindlela ingena kubo bonke abalingiswa iphenya izimpilo zabo. Le yiyo indlela ejwayelekileyo.
  3. Ibikangaphakathi – lapha umlobi angasebenzisa le indlela yokubika (stream of consciousness). Kulindlela umlobi ungena engqondweni yomlingiswa akuthulule njengokuba kunjalo lokho okubonwa ngumlingiswa lakuzwayo. Lindlela imnandi kakhulu nxa isetshenziswa kuzindatshana ngoba yonke imfihlo obekumele ibenzima ukutholakala iyavela sobala. Indatshan ingaqala iyephela kusetshenziswa yona lindlela.
  4. Umbono womntwana loba owohlanya – Umlobi angasebenzisa umbono womntwana loba umuntu ogula engqondweni. Lababantu abalanto abayitshiyayo kanti njalo bengasoze bathonisiswe. Ngokusebenzisa lindlela umlobi ungena loba kuyiphi indawo akhulume langasiphi isihloko kanti njalo uyenelisa ukuthuka, ukusola ukuhleka lokho okungalunganga. Lababantu abavinjwa ngoba bengazenzi. Abalobi bezindatshana bakwejayele ukusebenzisa lababantu njengesikhali.
